Introduction to Humanities Midterm Examination
Please email your answers as an attachment to angsosyoklasrum@yahoo.com. Assign a filename that will include your year and section and your real name. Ex HU110MT_BBF 2-1_Mirasol.doc). PLease use the Compatibility mode or the 97-2003 Word Format. Do not submit a document with .docx extension. On the subject line of your email, indicate "Humantiies" "BBF 2-1" "(your name)".
1. Look for two Filipino Natioanal Artists for painting and sculpture.
2. Write a short biography on the artist.
3. Get a sample picture of his/her work and paste it on your exam.
4. Interpret the painting/sculpture using the semiotic, iconic, symbolic and judgment planes.
5. Put the important details of the artwork (title, year,medium, provocation, etc.).
6. Write a short essay on the social significance of the painting or sculpture and its contribution to promoting nationalism.Justin Nicolas
